WSP and Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou jointly see the importance in providing opportunities and supporting the future development of rangatahi in experiencing engineering and other professional disciplines in a work-based setting.

This is a Summer Intern position that will be based in the WSP Gisborne office. This position provides the opportunity for a Ngati Porou rangatahi who is practically minded, with a positive get the job done approach, to gain real experience in the engineering sector.

We are looking for fresh talent to bring a new perspective and shape to the future.

The Role:

We’re looking for a Summer Intern Engineer Environment to join our office in Gisborne for the summer.

This is ideally suited to a student currently studying or a student who is finishing their studies. Gain real-world experience and involvement in a diverse range of projects across Gisborne and the wider Tairawhiti.

To be eligible for the internship, you must:
● Be a registered beneficiary of Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou;
● Have a technical mind set with interest and strengths in maths and science;
● Be practical and with experience in physically demanding work;
● Ideally have a full drivers licence with no restrictions; and
● Have good communication skills and a willingness to work.
