Kia Ora
I was adopted out at birth, and am currently trying to make my whakapapa clearer. I have found out the names of my ancestors, and am registered with Ngati Porou - but am still trying to find out about hapu and marae. I am keen to visit the coast and make some stronger connections. I have read that maybe ruataupare might be a good start. My great grandmother was Ida Walker, and I am descended from Roeha Waiohenga who married George Taylor (Hori Punehu) in 1848. I hope someone can help. Diane.
