Auckland Nati Day Out

The programme for the day kicks off at 1pm and includes entertainment provided by the fabulous Maaka Pohatu (of the Modern Māori Quartet), a bouncy castle and water sprinkler for tamariki, a lovely kai and other fun activities.

Te Taurahere o Ngati Porou Ki Tamaki are holding a Haati Naati event this Sunday the 18th of January for Ngati Porou based in the Super City.

It will be held at Mount Albert Rugby League Club, Fowlds Park in Western Springs, and the kaupapa of the hui is whakawhanaungatanga. The 2013 Census identified 13,161 Ngati Porou  living in the Auckland region (18.5% of the total 71,052 Ngati Porou population).

The programme for the day kicks off at 1pm and  includes entertainment provided by the fabulous Maaka Pohatu (of the Modern Māori Quartet), a bouncy castle and water sprinkler for tamariki,  a lovely kai and other fun activities.  Te Taurahere o Ngati Porou ki Tamaki will also hold their Annual General Meeting (beginning at 2.30pm and finishing  at the conclusion of the day at 4pm).

Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou will also be present to share information about what the organisation has been doing recently, and will have Maramataka 2015 calenders featuring Te Takapau a Maui for sale. $5 of the proceeds from the calenders will go to the Taurahere, and the remainder will go towards the maintenance and upkeep of the Pou.
