Reflecting on the past year, we recognise both the challenges and opportunities that were presented and I am pleased to note that optimism still abounds. The foundations are in place and the work is being done by Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou (TRONPnui) to achieve real gains for Ngati Porou.

In 4 years we have turned the financial performance around from overwhelming annual deficits, to producing a surplus this year. No other PHO in the country has achieved this degree of turnaround.

We continue to be dedicated to providing a dividend for our shareholders and I am happy to report that for the 12 months ended 30th June 2017, we recorded a $1 million surplus, before interest/tax. This is a similar position to the previous year’s result.
