The final stage of TRONPnui’s Trust Deed Review kicks off with a series of information hui where members of the board will present the proposed changes to the Trust Deed and voting process that goes with it. The hui start this week in Waikato and in Tikitiki and run through to late May. Full schedule as below:
Purpose of hui
The hui, and information on the website, let you know what the special resolutions are; that they will be voted on to change TRONPnui’s trust deed, and why the Board is asking Ngati Porou members to participate in the vote. Each of the special resolutions is based on feedback Ngati Porou members gave to the Trust Deed review process, and which was reported on at TRONPnui’s 2017 AGM.
Live-Stream of hui
Unfortunately, there will be no follow up hui in Australia, however whanau will still be able to join two of the twelve scheduled hui via Live-Stream. Hui in Ruatoria and Auckland will be available to watch online, Sunday 13th May, 12pm and Wednesday 16th May, 7pm.
Video of Presentation
A video of the presentation has also been produced for whanau who are unable to attend the hui. In the video, CE Herewini Te Koha explains the proposed changes to the Trust Deed and the formal process of adult iwi members approving the changes by way of special resolution via postal/online ballot and the convening of a Special General Meeting. Keep an eye out for Trust Deed updates via the TRONPnui Website, Facebook page and email panui. If you have not received an email panui, then chances are your either not registered on the Ngati Porou register, your details need updating or you have not ticked the box indicating that you would like to receive panui /Newsletters from TRONPnui.
