Whats Inside the Nati Link December 2015 edition

Meri Kirihimete me nga mihi o te tau hou ki a tatau katoa.

With 2015 about to draw to a close, and with 2016 just around the corner, the December edition of Nati Link is inspired by several kaupapa: reflecting back on the last 12 months; returning back to the Coast to renew whanau ties; revitalising our stories and our history.

Nati Link takes a new direction with this issue. After much contemplation we have decided to revamp the look and feel of the magazine in line with our thinking about how best to communicate to Ngati Porou. As a result we have aligned the structure of the magazine in keeping with our online communication platforms and considered what is the overall purpose of the magazine. Our aim is to position Nati Link as a vehicle which can help advance the interests of Ngati Porou people, express and strengthen the richness of our Nati identity and reinforce and reflect our cultural values.

We hope we have achieved some of these objectives, and that you enjoy reading the stories within this issue over the summer holidays.

Ned and Kura Tibble enjoy the manaakitanga from Hati Nati Café owner, Donnette Kupenga. Recently the couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, and in late November Ned also celebrated his 80th birthday ( Kura will mark her 80th year in 2016).

Donnette's newly established cafe is featured inside this edition of Nati Link in the article," Served with Aroha."
