Whanau from five marae in Uawa combine forces to win the 2002 annual Ngati Porou Inter-Marae Sports Day, the Runanga register is the first port of call for Ngati Porou who want to have a say in the future direction and priorities of the iwi authority and whanau move to establish new Kura Kaupapa Maori named Te Kura o Kawakawa mai Tawhiti.
