Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou Elections and Board

Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou is represented by 14 elected representatives, elected every four years by adult members on the Ngati Porou register. As trustees they are accountable to the Rohenga Tipuna from which they are elected. The next elections will be held in 2023.

Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou Trustee Limited

Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou Trustee Ltd is the corporate trustee of Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou Trust. It represents the collective interests of Ngati Porou iwi members. Its board of 14 directors (Elected Representatives) exercise strategic governance over its subsidiaries – Toitu Ngati Porou, Nati Growth Limited and Ngati Porou Oranga. The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for operational activities on behalf of Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou.

Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou Group Corporate Services provides operational support to Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou and its subsidiaries.

Subsidary boards

The board of Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou is responsible and appoint directors to the following subsidiary boards:

Toitu Ngati Porou

Toitu Ngati Porou is the cultural development and charitable distribution arm of Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou.

Directors -  Patrick Tangaere (Chair), Agnes Walker, Charlotte Gibson, Ngarimu Parata, Wi Pere Mita, Naomi Whitewood, Ani Pahuru-Huriwai.

Chief Executive Officer - George Reedy

Nati Growth Limited (Formerly Ngati Porou Holding Company Ltd)

Nati Growth Limited is the economic and wealth generation arm of Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou. Its five board members were appointed by Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou. Nati Growth Limited looks after Ngati Porou Seafoods Group and Pakihiroa Farms Limited. It also manages the investment and forestry assets on behalf of Te Runanganui o Ngati Porou.

Directors -  Sir Rob McLeod (Chair), Dean Moana, Bobbi Morice, Bailey Mackey, Diana Puketapu.  Ngarangi Bidois was appointed associate director.

Chief Executive Officer - Henare Walker

Ngati Porou Oranga

Ngati Porou Oranga provides Health, Housing and Whanau Oranga services.

Directors - Sir Selwyn Parata (Chair), Agnes Walker (Deputy Chair), Patrick Tangaere, Rei Kohere, Ani Pahuru-Huriwai,  WiPere Mita, Naomi Whitewood, Dr Emily McNichols.
